The Barnstorm played Christine & Christopher’s wedding at Crossed Keys Estate in Andover, NJ on August 21, 2026, for 220 guests. The music changed with each space: an acoustic duo for the garden ceremony, a jazz trio for cocktail hour in the Conservatory, and our full 8-piece band for the farmhouse reception. Here is how the night came together, from the first walk down the aisle to the last song.

The Setting: Crossed Keys Estate in Andover, NJ
According to the venue’s website, Crossed Keys Estate is a historic 20+ acre property about an hour outside NYC, with gardens for ceremonies, a glass-enclosed Conservatory for cocktail hour and a farmhouse for receptions. Christine & Christopher used all three. Because the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception happen in separate areas of the property, we set up audio in each space and the music followed the guests from one to the next.
Ceremony in the Garden
Christine & Christopher were married in the garden, with our Acoustic Duo playing the ceremony and running the officiant’s mic. The bridal party walked in to Blink-182’s “First Date,” the processional was Ed Sheeran’s “Tenerife Sea,” and the recessional was “Ooh La La” by Faces. That is a mix of pop-punk, singer-songwriter and classic rock, all played live and acoustic.
Cocktail Hour in the Conservatory
Cocktail hour moved into the glass-enclosed Conservatory, where the Barnstorm Jazz Trio took over. Live jazz gives guests something to enjoy while they find a drink and catch up with each other, and it sits at a level where conversation still works. It also gave the day a change of texture before the dance party started.
Reception in the Farmhouse
The reception moved into the farmhouse, where our full 8-piece band, with a sax player in the lineup, took over. Intros went to the parents of the groom, then the parents of the bride, then Christine & Christopher, followed by their first dance to Jake Scott’s “Like No One Does.” Toasts from the maid of honor, best man and father of the bride happened over dinner, and after that the party was on.
Special Moments and Must-Plays
The family dances were a father/daughter dance to Rascal Flatts’ “My Wish” and a mother/son dance to Rod Stewart’s “Forever Young.” Two other songs were tied to the people in the room: “Sweet Caroline” is Christopher’s family song, and Christine’s college friends had Cash Cash’s “Take Me Home” (featuring Bebe Rexha) on the list.
The couple’s must-play list covered a lot of ground: “Come and Get Your Love,” “Dancing on My Own,” “American Girl,” “All the Small Things,” “Dancing Queen” and “Good as Hell.” “Sweet Caroline” was saved for late in the night, and “Higher” was the request for the last song.

Three spaces called for three kinds of music, and one band covered all of them. Guests heard an acoustic duo in the garden, a jazz trio in the Conservatory and a full band in the farmhouse with no hand-offs between different vendors, which keeps the transitions simple.
Load-in was easy too. According to the venue’s answers to our production questionnaire, equipment comes in through the kitchen, which is on the same floor as cocktail hour and the reception, so there are no stairs or elevators to plan around. The ceiling is high, and the beams and chandeliers overhead did not affect our setup.
The song choices also ranged from Blink-182 to Rod Stewart to Cash Cash, and a band that plays across genres can carry that range in one night.
